Lockdown Limerick

​

A farmer we know, in the time of the ‘virus’

said to his wife, that it was sent to try us

but without any rain

he couldn’t stay sane

and it nearly turned into a mental health crisis.

As I look out my window I see no one about,

Not even a dog roaming out,

That’s good all lying low,

Staying in and social distancing.

 

Tomorrow will be a different day, 

On with my uniform Apron gloves and a mask,

Will wash my hands so many times,

To keep all safe from COV.

 

Watching the news is so depressing,

All those faces knowing someone is dying,

BORIS is now one of those suffering, Coronavirus is coming our way,

Let’s hope we will meet up again.
