MMRC – MONDAY MORNING RIDE CLUB
The Monday group consists of mainly retired people who enjoy a cycle, chat and a coffee. There are mixed abilities and of both genders. We meet at various locations for a 9.30 am start. Some members will make a route of their choice with a coffee stop at around 11 am. It's always a circular ride. In the group, we have a first aider, cycle mechanic and 2 certified cycle leaders.
As you know, we live in a beautiful area taking in costal and rural roads. The distance can be between 25 - 35 miles. Cycle Network 1 & 68 both pass through the village. The pace averages around 11- 13 mph depending on gradients. We never leave anyone behind; if someone is a little slower the group always waits at the next T junction. At Christmas, there is a special ride out followed by a Christmas lunch. We also have an annual cycle trip. In 2018 we completed the Coast to Coast (NCN Route 7) and in 2019 travelled to Holland. There is also the option to participate in charity rides. We encourage members to lead rides and advice will be given on planning routes. Each Sunday the route for the following day is usually announced via a group email and where possible a gpx file will be attached available to download along with all the details of where to meet at the start.

There is no membership fee to join. We only have one rule - you must wear a cycle helmet.
Cycling liability insurance is strongly recommended and so are bike safety lights. A basic travel kit of water bottles, wet weather gear and a spare inner tube is also advised.
